Ansovo for pest control companies ยท answers 24/7

We ring you in about 30 seconds. Answer the phone and meet your receptionist.
One consented call, announced as an AI. No card, no signup.
These are the calls a pest control office takes and what Ansovo does with each. Ansovo books new work and captures requests. It does not look up an existing customer's account or contract on an inbound call, so re-treatment and reschedule requests are taken as bookings or messages and sent straight to you.
| Intent | What Ansovo does |
|---|---|
| New-service quote | Captures pest type, property size, and address; states a configured price range only if you set one; books an initial service in the diary with a read-back confirmation. |
| Recurring-service reschedule | Takes the reschedule request, books a slot from real diary availability or takes a message, and texts you the details. |
| Re-treatment request | Books a slot or takes a message and texts you to review. It does not confirm warranty or contract status; a human decides eligibility. |
| Termite or WDI inspection for a closing | Captures the closing date first, then books a priority inspection slot ahead of it. |
| Bedbug inquiry | Discretion script, inspection-first booking, no treatment verdicts by phone. |
| Wasp or hornet nest | Captures nest location and height; if you have flagged this as urgent, pages your phone by SMS so a human can call back. |
| Rodent sighting | Calm intake, entry-point questions, inspection booked or message taken. |
| Wildlife exclusion | Captures the request and books or messages, kept separate from a general pest visit. |
| Chemical or safety question (pets, kids) | Scripted, label-safe response only; takes a message for a licensed tech to call back. |
| Cancel or pause request | Takes a message and texts you. Never processed cold; a human handles it. |
These are illustrative example calls that show how the AI is scripted. They are not recordings of real customers.
Setup: a real-estate agent calls Tuesday; the lender wants a WDI report before Friday's closing.
Outcome: the deadline is on the schedule before the office opens Wednesday.
Setup: a caller asks about "a bug problem in the bedroom" and avoids naming the pest.
Outcome: booked without the caller having to say "bedbugs" to a stranger twice.
Setup: a quarterly customer calls; the ants are back weeks after the last visit.
Outcome: the request reaches you the moment the call ends instead of waiting in voicemail while the customer shops around.
Ansovo does not connect to PestPac, FieldRoutes, Briostack, GorillaDesk, or Jobber, and it does not write back into any field-service platform. That is deliberate. There is nothing to install, no API to provision, and no sync to break. Here is the actual architecture.
Because there is no integration, "no software required" is the advantage: a single-truck operator and a multi-branch company set up the same way, and nothing on your existing stack has to change.
It tells callers it is an AI. Ansovo states plainly that it is an AI assistant if asked, and at any sign of confusion. It never pretends to be a human.
Applicator boundary. Pesticide application is state-licensed work. Ansovo never presents itself as a licensed applicator and never gives application or toxicity advice. Chemical-safety questions get a scripted, label-safe line and a message routed to a licensed tech.
No pest-ID verdicts by phone. The AI captures the field markers a caller describes and books the right inspection. It does not diagnose the pest: "our tech will confirm on-site."
Configured prices only. The AI states only prices from the price list you configure. With no list, it never states or estimates a price, and it never invents discounts, guarantees, or arrival times.
Cancellations go to a human. A cancel or pause request is captured with its reason and texted to you. It is never processed cold.
What the AI will never do:
A plumber's missed call costs one job. A pest control missed call is different, because the business is a subscription. Recurring revenue is 85.4% of residential pest control service revenue (PCT Magazine reporting Specialty Consultants, 2026), and Rollins, the parent of Orkin, reported roughly a 75% recurring revenue mix in FY2025 (Rollins 10-K). The dollars are in the contract renewing, not in the single visit.
That reframes what a fumbled call costs.
Note on the math: no credible per-customer lifetime-value figure exists for residential pest control, so this page does not put one on the table. The retention argument stands on the annual-plan range above and on the fact that 85.4% of residential service revenue is recurring.
One honest caveat: we would recommend against after-hours-only for a recurring-route company whose office is already saturated by day. Your reschedule and re-treatment calls arrive during business hours, and an after-hours-only config never touches them. Start with overflow instead.
WDI report, WDO inspection, IPM, exclusion, wildlife exclusion, bait station, tamper-resistant station, perimeter treatment, crack-and-crevice treatment, spot treatment, gel bait, IGR (insect growth regulator), quarterly service, initial service, re-treatment, fumigation, heat treatment, carpenter ants, subterranean termites, drywood termites, swarmers, mud tubes, frass, harborage, German cockroach, rodent monitoring station.
The classic disambiguation, carpenter ants versus termites, handled as intake rather than verdict:
Caller: "There's sawdust under the windowsill and big winged ants coming out of the wall." AI: "Are the wings all one length, or are the front pair longer than the back?" (Wing length and frass are the field markers that separate a carpenter-ant call from a termite swarm. The AI captures the markers; it does not announce a diagnosis.) AI: "I'll get you on the schedule for a termite-capable inspection rather than a general pest visit, and our tech will confirm on-site."
The markers land in the job notes either way, so the tech arrives already briefed.
Ansovo pricing is published and per-minute, so it scales with your call volume rather than your headcount.

Where Ansovo differs: no software to install, published per-minute pricing, and an AI that discloses it is an AI. Deeper single-competitor comparisons live at Ansovo vs Avoca and Ansovo vs Jobber AI Receptionist.
There is no FSM to connect, so setup is configuration, not integration.
Have ready: your service list, service-area coverage, price ranges by pest and property type if you want them quoted, business hours, and the owner phone for paging and messages.
Does the AI know my quarterly customers' schedules? No. Ansovo does not look up customer accounts or contract cadence on an inbound call. It takes the reschedule request, books a slot from real availability or takes a message, and texts you the details.
How are re-treatment requests handled? The AI books a slot or takes a message and texts you. It does not confirm warranty or contract status; a person decides whether the visit is covered.
A realtor needs a WDI report before closing? The closing date is captured first and the inspection is booked ahead of it, with the details read back and confirmed.
What about chemical-safety questions (pets, kids)? Scripted, label-safe language only, then a message for a licensed tech to call back. No improvised toxicity reassurance.
How are bedbug callers handled? A discretion script: no forcing the word, no alarm language, inspection-first booking.
Can it tell callers whether they have carpenter ants or termites? No. Identification verdicts by phone are on the never-do list. It captures wing length, frass, and mud tubes, books the right inspection, and says "our tech will confirm on-site."
Does it integrate with PestPac or FieldRoutes? No. Ansovo works standalone with a built-in diary and SMS notifications. There is nothing to install and no sync to maintain.
What happens on an urgent call? Ansovo pages your phone by SMS immediately and tells the caller a human will call back. It does not transfer a live call.
What about cancellation calls? They are captured with the reason and texted to you for a person to handle. Never processed cold.
Ansovo has no pest control customers to name yet, so this page will not show a case study or a logo wall it cannot stand behind.
We are looking for founding pest control operators to run the product on real call volume: after-hours first, then overflow. If you run a route-based business and want your Saturday wasp calls and Monday-morning voicemail backlog answered, get in touch about a pilot. When the results are real and approved for use, they will replace this section.
